Moon & Lola - Southern Charm Boutique

I was fortunate enough to attend a Yelp Ladies Night event at Moon & Lola in Raleigh's Cameron Village and this pink and white shop full of jewelry is a girl's dream! The shop's slogan is "Happy Starts Here" and how can you not smile and have fun in a shop full of charm bracelets, pearl necklaces, sparkly earrings and jewelry with a Southern flare? 

You may have about Moon and Lola on Oprah. Word got out and this little charming Southern boutique made it to Oprah's Favorite Things list in 2014 and 2015. The cute little dog tags amped up the production for this Apex-based boutique and their sales and orders went through the roof. If you are looking for a unique gift with personalized initials or charms, this is the shop for you.

I met the founder and owner, Kelly Shatat, at the Yelp event at the Cameron Village boutique in Raleigh and you can tell that she is extremely passionate about her products and about life. Kelly is the "Lola" in the name and she is North Carolina, born and bred. Moon and Lola stems from Kelly's college days and is the name of her best friend. Kelly and her friend would go out and tell people that those were their names and it just stuck. Written in hot pink against an immaculate white wall, Moon and Lola stands out and is the signature mark for this brand.

This trendy boutique has a beautiful collection of pearl necklaces, chunky gold pieces, sparkly earrings and fun charm bracelets. The charm bracelets seem to be the most popular and you can add local "charm" like the outline of NC, your initials, your astrological sign or sorority name. These also make great personalized gifts and if you check in on Yelp, you save $5. The Raleigh GO Play save book also has a coupon on 20% off a regular priced item. I would sign up for their newsletter as well and follow them on Instagram to keep up with the latest news and sales. 

 The back room also has all kinds of adorable gifts like plates, journals, pillows, and cards. There was a photo booth set up by the sofa with a mini-ipad and props and it was one of the most fun experiences. Pick up some pink props, have some fun and then email the pictures to yourself.

There is also a store in Apex, NC, Charleston, SC and there is one in the works for Crabtree Valley Mall. The actual production facility is also located in Apex, NC in the Peak of Good Living.
